Froghair

The Froghair website was built from the ground up by our bespoke web design team to replace their existing brochure site, which was performing poorly. The existing site was not a good showcase for either the Froghair brand or the quirky golfing products they create, and did not have the functionality to allow customers to purchase items directly from the website.

Our aim was to create an e-commerce solution which would increase revenue for the business by making the products and the entire site as visually appealing as possible, whilst providing functionality to ensure the site was accessible, standards compliant and SEO-friendly. The site was designed to be extremely user friendly by guiding consumers towards a transaction in a clear and non intrusive manner, and visually strong to convey Froghair's youthful and playful brand ethic.

As part of the development we constructed a secure bespoke scalable content management system to allow Froghair to add, edit and remove categories, products and promotions as and when required. This ultimately reduces maintenance costs for the business as the day-to-day work on the website can be performed by their staff. Fluid developers worked hard creating server-side scripting to generate correctly scaled and proportioned photos with a clean look. Since all of this processing is done server-side, the Froghair staff need only upload a standard JPEG photo, removing the time and effort that would otherwise be needed to keep a consistent look across the website. Other functionality such as promotion codes, stock level tracking, gift certificates, affiliate management and order tracking were also built into the system to ensure Froghair had everything in place to manage their online business.

Within days of the website being launched Froghair were taking orders, and have seen unique visitors to the website increase by 400% whilst sales have increased by 40%. This is down to much improved conversion rates and increased levels of traffic to the site, and an increase in brand awareness catalysed by the new site design.
