Google Adsense gets a new rival
Google Adsense is a popular choice for webmasters looking to make a little extra money from their website. By placing these special Google Ads onto their sites webmasters allow advertisers (who can be seen within the Google Search results on the right hand side) to show their ads directly on their website, with Google's technology determining the correct ads to show, and the amount those ads are worth, based on the web page's content.
This week saw the launch of a new Ad Network from the ever industrious ShoeMoney (http://www.shoemoney.com). AuctionAds (http://www.auctionads.com) uses eBay's technology, along with some ShoeMoney magic, to display relevant products from the Auction giant. Any products sold as a result of these ads will earn the webmaster a small commission.
Its early days for AuctionAds but already many popular bloggers are giving these new style ads a trail, with many claiming that they are holding their own against the well established Search Engine giant Google; fantastic news for the first week! Only time will tell if they become a staple part of a webmasters arsenal.
