Back to Fluid Thinking
#COMBA15. The day after the night before…
As headline sponsors, there was an awful lot of pressure on the Fluid team at last night’s City of Manchester Business Awards. We simply had to quaff Champagne as part of our official role. Ahem.
Naturally we were actually on our very best behaviour. We met some wonderful Manchester businesses, ate some delicious food and basked in the splendour of Manchester Cathedral. All in all, it was pretty good going for a Thursday night.
We also had a sacrifice (i.e. team member David Johnstone) presenting the Business of the Year Award and our lead developer, Adrian Toomer, turned 30. Ade has booked the day off to recover.
Rest assured, we’ll be posting the embarrassing team photos below, but before the debauchery run down begins, here are the fantastic winners once again. Congratulations all!

As official sponsors, we had the luxury of putting green stuff in the pamphlet.
We put our money where our mouth is. Last night we also put wine where our mouth is.
David Johnstone presented the Business of the Year Award and set the place alight with his ‘English man, Irish man and Scottish man’ joke…
We are pleased to announce that, as the most accurate depiction of Scotland, this image will now replace the Scottish flag.
Have happy birthday sung to you in a cathedral. That’s one off the bucket list.
We had a fantastic night and we’d like to thank everyone at Downtown in Business for making the event possible. We’d also like to thank Pickled Walnut for treating us to such a delicious spread. Finally, a big thank you to the Fluid team and our Scottish friends!
We’ll see you next year…
