iOS App Developer

Due to recent growth in the mobile market Fluid Creativity require an experienced iOS app developer to work with us on a number of projects on a freelance / contract basis. The successful candidate will be working alongside the existing development team at our studios in Hyde, near Manchester.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions
• Act as lead iOS developer across the entire app development life cycle –planning, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
• Work closely with our creative team to create compelling user interfaces and experiences
• Work closely with other members of the development team to integrate apps with any existing backend systems
• Promote app reuse / resale to our clients by standardising features as much as possible
• Optimise the performance of any apps created
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies

Essential Skills:

• Strong OO design / development skills specifically in Objective C
• Familiar with iOS SDK
• Experience of integrating with 3^rd party web services returning a variety of data formats (JSON/XML)
• Experience using version control systems (SVN)

Experience Required

• At least 2+ years’ experience backed up with a portfolio of apps that can be demonstrated
• Experience working in an agency environment would be advantageous but not essential
